Favorite Characters
While watching The Wire last night I cam up with the idea to list some of my favorite characters from some of my favorite TV shows. The first one is obvious:
- Omar Little - The Wire - probably one of the most complex characters in TV history, or maybe the least complex. He has a simple code and he lives by it. I’m into season 5 now, and I know his end is coming and it makes me sad.
- CJ Cregg - The West Wing - although never touted as such, one of the strongest female characters on TV in a long time. One of my favorite moments is when she goes off on Saudi Arabia and their treatment of women.
- Starbuck - BSG - I love that they made this character a woman, but still managed to keep it as cocky as Dirk Benedict’s portrayal in the original series.
- Lois Henrickson - Big Love - the facial expressions alone are worth including her.
- Charlie - It’s Always Sunny - He’s a Wild Card!!!
- Jeremy - Sports Night - Take his obsession with sports and substitute science and you have me.
- Maurice - Northern Exposure - I think he had the most complicated past of any of the characters.
I’m sure I could name more. Maybe other people have ones they could add to the list.
